This project tells the story of a collaboration between people who take a stand for integrity and sustainability. The core is a juxtaposition of upcycled and recycled materials optimized for the workplace environment. This project is an eco-responsible interior design & furniture of the Mansartis offices, located in Place Vendôme in Paris.

The studio started the development of an eco-design methodology in 2017 and the meeting with the French company Fern based in Paris, accelerated things when we decided to collaborate to carry out the eco-designed Mansartis project and to develop an eco-designed layout and furnishing solution for companies. Fern has now become the eco-design brand of the studio.

Rather than using the widespread linear model, the project adopts a new model for the optimized life cycle of products by using eco-design tools. The project aims to answer the professionals’ eagerness to have a positive impact on the environment.

deardesign studio was launched in Barcelona in 2005 with the aim to create things and spaces with soul for brands. Thanks to our multidisciplinary team we aim to incorporate sustainability as a fundamental principle in the set of values of our clients and contribute to preserving the environment. With the conviction that design is crucial to driving the change, deardesign studio redirects work methodology to offer its clients sustainable design solutions with a new brand, Fern. Each project will be created in order to reduce the impacts on the environment thanks to a new methodology based on eco-design tools and metrics.

Creating a division within the studio dedicated to eco-design was an evolution that makes sense because deardesign has always been a multidisciplinary studio; it is in its DNA, and we will always seek to develop new expertise, it is also the driving force of our creativity.
